Being a Hooligan 2019-10-11 12:28:54I love keeping myself busy.
I am forever a student of Academics and Life.
- "Once you stop learning, you start dying" - Einstein -
An Obsessive reader. I love the Arts, and participate all the time, hands on. Reading, Painting and knitting is thought therapy.
I'm a genealogy junkie [Professional Genealogist]. I was 12 when I started this obsession. I started before it was trendy, and before most things became computerized. So, essentially, I am a revolutionist SNOOP!
I founded Ancestry World Connects Project in 1980, in an attempt to connect as many people as possible. I have one of the largest databases in the world. Love researching [I call Snooping]!
I miss Minnesota, until I see the weather reports.
Then I only miss the Art Institute, the Museums, Pracna, Improper Fraction, Theatre in the Round, and Friday nights after class [ UofMN Campus] at Bullwinkles with Muckers!
AND I cannot leave off Marketfest in Downtown WBL.
Hope you WBHS-'70 loons are doing great!!
I'd love to hear what you've wasted your life doing - - lol!!
Thank's to all those on the Class of 70 committee,, for your efforts. Previous committee's also
I personally could NOT do it. I'd rather throw some swirls of paint on canvas, or contemplate the meaning life while clicking needles in Knit 2, purl 2, Knit 4 , purl 6, Knit 8, purl 6, -->>>>
Forever giggling at my "NOW" photo [I hijacked], wondering who got suckered.
My Wicked Sense of Humour. lol
Retired / PT Consultant Married 4 1. I didn't graduate from WBHS - I moved to Eau Claire in the middle of our senior year (ugh!). 2. I lived in LA for 35 years till my retirement. 3. I have 3 sons living and working in Syracuse, and a married daughter living in Long Beach Ca. 2 kids are married, no grandchildren. 4. I was VP of Ops for a global experience marketing company where I oversaw operations for large scale events such as Olympics, and World Expos. 5. Spent 4 years in China, 2 years in Tokyo, and a awful lot of time in Europe and western Asia. 6. Lived in Boston for 2 years (I didn't care for it.) 7. Retired in 2014 but I will consult on special events with the old company when they need a senior problem solver. 8. Moved to the North Woods of Wisconsin in 2015 and we built our lake home in the middle of nowhere. Its great to be in nature instead of the insanity of LA. 9. After a full career requiring way to much time on planes and in airports, we enjoy road trips pulling our little tear drop camper and checking into hotels around the country. 10. I met up with Steve Phillips about a year ago. It is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time!! Love you brother - and the great work you are doing for our fury friends. 2019-03-29 19:48:59

retired Married 3 I graduated from Lakewood (Century) College then worked as a lab tech at 3M's Central Research for 8 years, homeschooled our children for 20 years, and worked as a sales associate for Kohls for 10 years. I met my husband when we were both technical rock climbing and have been married since 1976. We have lived in Grant, MN since 1985 except for 4 years in the mid 1990's when my husband's job took us to Sandy, UT. We are very blessed to have our children, their spouses and all 8 grandchildren living in the metro area. 2019-08-17 01:08:51

Thanks, committee, for all your hard work.
Still married after 45 years. Spent 21 years traveling with Greg as a US Navy family. I teach watercolor painting in my basement. We have an adorable 3-year-old granddaughter, Lena Iris. I direct our church choir and can barely sing, and can’t hear! Love to read, drink wine, and enjoy life!
Companion Animal Advocate Divorced 3 Companion Animal Advocate (retired from commercial aviation and IT careers); certified SCUBA diver since 1974 (for a time, spent nearly as much time under water, as above!); drove from Bemidji to Panama in 1971 (long haired hippie, 127 pounds back then, ‘61 VW) for a dear friend’s wedding, and stayed for seven months; brutal on my body in those younger years: been to the Mayo (rebuilt, many times over) so often I feel like I’m really Steve Austin ... largely “bionic”... and always bounced back, though the pesky cancer rears it’s ugly head on occasion; three grown children, blessing me with four grand kids that I never see often enough; restored my 1900 quasi-Victorian/American Four Square home pretty much myself.... Oh, and about the “now” picture: Don’t need glasses or contacts any longer, after cataract surgeries this past April-May blessed me with 20/20 and 20/15 (my Mayo surgeon’s been a close friend for over 30 years, and I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone!)... I am SO looking forward to rekindling old friendships - if only my classmates would stop dying! 2019-07-16 22:51:49
I've worked most of my adult life in commercial aviation and HSIA/IT development and deployment.
Married and divorced, twice.
Raised my first two children as a single parent for a good deal of their lives.
Adopted my third child (who's about to graduate law school) as an abandoned infant in Asuncion, Paraguay.
Traveled extensively, residing in South America for a time...
Lifelong devotee (and activist) of companion animal rights and advocacy; maintain a household of multiple rescued abuse survivors!
Wish I 'd been better at keeping in touch with old friends and classmates...
To quote Morgan Freeman (from Shawshank Redemption):
"There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret... I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid... I want to talk to him.
I want to try to talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are.
But I can't. That kid's long gone, and this old man is all that's left. I got to live with that..."
Somedays, I dream of what could have been.
Others, I realize what I'd have lost, were I given the chance for a "do-over".
In the balance of life, all one can do is "keep on, keepin' on'!
I look forward to rekindling old friendships...
